LoRa Stands for Long Range is a wireless platform which is designed specifically for long range and low power communication. It is used for connecting Machine to Machine and Internet of Things networks worldwide by providing low data rate connectivity over significant distances. LoRa Technology has been designed such that it can even receive and transmit low signal levels at low power to a wide range. LoRaWAN refers to the MAC layer protocol that defines the software specification governing the LoRa physical layer through mac commands.

Narrow Band Internet of Things is a type of LPWAN Technology which helps in improving power consumption of user devices. It provides ultra low device complexity, adds new physical layers signals and channels for meeting the demand of extended coverage.  It focuses on high connection density and co-exist with all mobile networks such as 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and all supported by the mobile equipment and is therefore benefited from the security and privacy features of mobile networks such as data integrity and Identity confidentiality.
